Learn to Fish

Family Fishing in Sheridan!

Fish. Hunt. Explore.

This event will introduce kids, and their families, to the fun of fishing.

Directions: To get there take Hwy. 18 to Exit 33 onto Balston Rd. Go south on Balston Rd. approximately half a mile and turn left onto a gravel road leading about a quarter mile to the pond.

It is one of the many Family Fishing Events that occur at stocked ponds throughout the state. On-Site ODFW staff and volunteers will provide equipment, and will teach new anglers how to rig their line, cast a rod, land a fish and identify their catch. This is a great opportunity for families to learn how to fish together and to spend time in the outdoors!

Licenses will not be available to purchase at the event!

Kids 11 and under can fish for free.

12-17 year olds need a $10 youth license (also includes hunting and shellfish licenses).

Adults need a one day ($21) or annual ($41) fishing license.
