Have you ever wanted to try trout fishing but weren’t sure how? This course will give you all the knowledge you need to fish for trout on your own, from where to go, how to start, what gear to buy, and how to process your catch.
Join us for a 2-hour course in Sportsman’s Warehouse where we talk about everything trout fishing! From there, we will lead you to a local pond and test your knowledge in a practical situation, with ODFW employees and Angler Education Instructors there to help you catch trout on your own.
We have all the equipment you need, but if you have your own fishing setups and lures you are welcome to bring them.
Due to concerns over potential spreading of COVID 19 (Coronavirus), we are asking participants to practice social distancing of at least 6 feet (especially between people of different parties). Masks are required to be worn at all times. Gloves, sanitizer, and masks will be provided but you are encouraged to bring your own if you would like.
Each participant MUST have in possession:
A valid angling license if you are 12 and older.
Appropriate clothing, food/water, and a cooler with ice if you would like to keep fish. A detailed email of the plan of the day will be provided after registration.
Anglers age 17 years and younger are eligible to participate while accompanied by an adult 21 years or older
