Learn To Hunt - Basic Shotgun Skills - Gervais

Do you have an interest in learning how to shoot shotguns for hunting or target shooting? This workshop provides participants the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills for safe and proper shotgun handling and increases their proficiency of shooting moving targets.

This class is a pre-requisite for ODFW pheasant, waterfowl, and small game workshops.

Shotguns and ammunition for this course will be provided by ODFW. You can bring your own shotgun, but if you do must provide your own ammunition. Lead 7.5 shot required

Dress appropriately for the weather.

Bring a lunch, snacks and note taking material. Drinking water will be provided

This workshop is designed for adults, but youth who have the physical ability to safely handle and fire shotguns and the maturity to sit through the entire workshop without becoming a distraction are welcome to attend pending space. Youth 17 and younger must be accompanied by a registered adult. (email the event Instructor to see if there is room). 

Please be on the lookout for a confirmation letter with additional information on what to bring to the workshop. This letter will be e-mailed 5-8 days prior to the workshop.
