Learn To Hunt - Shotgun Skills Clinic - EE Wilson Wildlife Area

Hands on Learning Event

Do you have an interest in learning how to shoot shotguns for hunting or target shooting? This workshop provides participants the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills for safe and proper shotgun handling and increases their proficiency of shooting moving targets through hands on learning.

*This class is a pre-requisite of the pheasant, waterfowl, and small game workshops.

Shotguns and ammunition for this course will be provided by ODFW.

Participants will need to dress appropriately for the weather.

Participants need to bring their own lunch and snacks and note taking material. Water will be provided

This workshop is designed for adults, but youth who have the physical ability to safely handle and fire shotguns and the maturity to sit through the entire workshop without becoming a distraction are welcome to attend. Youth 17 and younger must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Please be on the lookout for a confirmation letter with additional information on what to bring for the workshop. This will be sent out approximately 5-8 days prior to the workshop and will be sent via email.

Please note: a Wildlife Area parking permit is required to park at EE Wilson. Parking permits are free with the purchase of any hunting license and can be purchased separately as well. Regardless, please make sure to have the permit with you when you get to the Wildlife Area as they are not sold on site.
