Rifle Skills and Knowledge Workshop

Learn introductory skills to big game hunt with a rifle

This workshop is designed to teach beginner hunters about rifle hunting and shooting skills. Selecting, handling and becoming proficient with a rifle can be a daunting task for new hunters who are not familiar with firearms. Participants will learn introductory  knowledge and skills needed to hunt big game with a rifle.

Registration begins at 8:30am, workshop begins promptly at 9:00am. If you have dietary restrictions please let us know prior to workshop - lunch is provided. Dress for the weather, be prepared for indoor and outdoor portions of the workshop. NO hunting will take place at the workshop, therefore no hunting license is required to attend. Ear and eye protection, rifles, ammunition, class materials and supplies will be provided. ODFW and Oregon Hunters Association (OHA) are offering a year membership to the OHA chapter of your choice after completion of the workshop.

You may take the adult online Hunter Education Course as a good introduction to the rifle workshop - but the online course is not required. There is a fee for the online course that goes to the online course provider.
