ODFW hosts online meetings about 2027 Big Game Regulation Proposals

SALEM, Ore.— ODFW will host a series of online public meetings in July where district wildlife biologists will present proposed changes to the 2027 big game regulations and gather public feedback.
Modifications to the Elk General Western Oregon Coast seasons are being considered; otherwise, no major regulatory changes are proposed this year. More information, including proposed 2026 tag numbers, is available in the linked materials below.
Each meeting will include a presentation on 2027 proposed regulations, a Q&A session, and opportunity for public comment. The Commission will adopt 2027 Big Game Regulations at their Sept. 18 meeting in La Grande.
ODFW encourages people to use the comment submission form to submit input in advance of or after the meeting. Questions can also be asked during the Teams meeting using the chat feature.
Meeting schedule:
Central/Southeast Region (The Dalles/Prineville/Bend/K-Falls/Lakeview/Ontario/Hines). July 1, 6-8 p.m. Join the Central/Southeast Region meeting.
Southwest Region (Roseburg/Charleston/Central Point/Gold Beach). July 7, 6-7 p.m. Join the Southwest Region meeting.
Northwest Region (Newport/Tillamook/Sauvie/Clackamas/Springfield/Corvallis). July 9, 7-8 p.m. Join the Northwest Region meeting.
Northeast Region (Pendleton/La Grande/John Day/Baker/Enterprise/Heppner). July 8, 6-8 p.m. Join the Northeast Region meeting.
