2021 Free Fishing Days and Events

On Free Fishing Weekends, you don’t need a license to fish, crab or clam anywhere in Oregon. That’s no license, no tag, no endorsement needed.

Feb. 13-14 (Saturday & Sunday), President’s Day Weekend
June 5-6 (Saturday & Sunday)
Nov. 26-27 (Friday & Saturday), Thanksgiving Weekend

*The SMALL PRINT: Area closures, bag limits and all other regulations still apply.

Join us at a Free Fishing Event - June 5-6 (tentative)

The first weekend in June is Oregon’s traditional Free Fishing Weekend. In the past, ODFW and its partners have sponsored several free fishing events throughout the state.

For 2021, these events are on hiatus because we're not sure what will be happening with the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the meantime, we've pulled together everything you'll need to plan your own DYI free fishing day adventure.
