Beginning in 2019, leftover tags will be available exclusively online. You will not be able to purchase leftover tags at ODFW offices. This step-by-step guide will show you how to purchase leftover tags from the controlled hunt drawing. In 2019, leftover tags will be available for purchase beginning Aug. 1 at 10 a.m.
To begin, navigate to online licensing page and be logged in by Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. with your ODFW username and password. You will not see the leftover tag button on the login page until Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. Once logged in you should see two options in the upper right side of the screen. You can either view the leftover tags for sale or enter the sale.
Click View Available Sales to see all the available tags for sale in that series. Simply select the drop down box and choose a series.
To make a leftover tag purchase, select Enter Leftover Tag Sale. From here you will be directed to a purchase page or to a queue if there is a line.
If you're placed in the queue, simply wait for your turn to purchase.
Once it’s your turn to Begin Purchase, you'll be taken to the leftover tags distribution page to make your choices. Remember you only have 15 minutes to complete your transaction.
After beginning your purchase choose the Big Game Hunting tab at the top to see the Available Leftover Tags. Next, select the series for which you'd like to buy a leftover tag. You can buy one tag per series within a single transaction.
Now choose the specific hunt you want to buy a tag for. Once you choose the tag, it will be added to your cart. You can then add additional products to your cart or proceed directly to checkout.
