Our Recreation Report needs a facelift

And we need your help
February 21, 2024

We're looking for ways to make our Recreation Report even more useful. Take a six-minute survey to tell us what you think the Rec Report should be, and you could win one of three thank-you gifts.‌

Take the survey

As a way to say thank you, everyone who completes the Recreation Report survey (and leaves their email address) will be entered to win one of three prizes:‌

Top prize

Cabela's Polar Cap Equalizer 22 qt. Cooler ‌

Other prizes

Why do a facelift?‌

The Recreation Report has been ODFW's top website destination for more than 15 years. What originally started as a fishing update, grew over the years to include crabbing and clamming, hunting and wildlife viewing.‌

But a lot (a LOT) has changed since the Recreation Report was first launched – except for the Recreation Report itself, which still follows the same basic format adopted all those years ago. While it's tempting coast on the current success, we wonder if the Recreation Report is still on the right track to meet the needs of anglers, hunters and wildlife watchers going into the future.‌

So we're conducting a survey to ask what people like about the current Report, and what they'd like to see in the future‌.

Who are you asking?‌

Just about everyone we can think of. We'll be promoting the survey on the MyODFW.com website, through our e-newsletter The Messenger and on our social media channels. And, of course, in the Recreation Report.

If we missed someone you know who would like to participate, please share the link to the survey. We'd love to hear from them!
