Game Bird Hunting

Northeast Area

This vast area covers the Columbia Basin through the Blue, Wallowa and Elkhorn mountains to the Snake River.

Northeast Area

The Columbia Basin offers some of the best bird hunting in the state. Although much of the basin is private agricultural land, access is available through state and national wildlife areas, and numerous Access and Habitat properties. Everything from pheasants to ducks can be harvested within the basin. The area also includes vast tracts of national forests. State wildlife areas offer excellent upland and waterfowl hunting. A number of Travel Management Areas open access to industrial timber lands.
