Learn to turkey hunt with ODFW at youth and adult workshops

ROSEBURG, Ore. – ODFW is hosting turkey hunting workshops around the state in April for both youth and adults. If you're a new hunter, or new to turkey hunting, consider joining us for a day of learning more about turkey hunting.
Youth workshops
April 4 workshops at Denman Wildlife Area and White River Management Area (45°16'13.9"N 121°16'42.0"W) are for youth 8-17 and are just $10 each.
Participants will learn everything from turkey calling techniques, shotgun setup and safety, spring hunting tactics, and field dressing wild turkey. Both workshops will have door prizes such as turkey calls and other turkey hunting gear.

Adult workshops
Adult turkey hunting workshops run April 11-12 in Salem, Bend, Klamath Falls, and Central Point and are $50 each.
Participants will learn about turkey hunting seasons and regulations, habitat and learn hands-on skills including turkey calling practices and shotgun setup. Each person receives a turkey call and an opportunity to be randomly selected for a mentored hunt at a later date.
