SALEM, Ore. – ODFW is seeking qualified applicants to fill a Columbia Plateau or Blue Mountains position on the Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund (OCRF) Advisory Committee. Interested individuals must apply by Oct. 30, 2026.
Committee members meet four to five times each year both virtually and in various communities throughout the state to review project funding applications, hear public testimony, act as liaisons between the program and the public, and conduct other program business. Members are appointed to four-year terms by the Governor's Office.
The ideal candidate will be a resident of the Columbia Plateau or Blue Mountains region of Oregon and possess knowledge, or scientific expertise related to the ecoregion. Desirable attributes include an interest in fish and wildlife conservation or outdoor recreation, interest in the economic, social, and educational benefits of healthy ecosystems, previous experience with boards or commissions, and experience engaging youth, underserved communities and diverse audiences, such as communities of color, tribes, and low income communities, in conservation and recreation activities.
The OCRF was created by the Oregon Legislature in 2019 to help fund conservation and outdoor recreation projects throughout the state. It is overseen by a nine-member citizen board made up of six members representing the diverse ecoregions of Oregon and three members from Oregon-at-large with an interest in fish and wildlife conservation or outdoor recreation. The Committee reviews grant proposals from various organizations and agencies and recommends projects for funding.
If interested, fill out an application through the Oregon Workday Boards and Commissions page. For more information on this opportunity, visit the OCRF Program website or contact Reva Gillman at 541-961-8421 or reva.a.gillman@odfw.oregon.gov.
