Fish consumption advisories
The Oregon Health Authority has issued consumption guidelines for parts of the Columbia River due to high levels of mercury and/or PCBs. Fish with these chemicals look, act, smell and taste like any other fish, so caution is important.

SALMON, STEELHEAD AND SHAD
On Saturday's (2/14) effort count, there were 23 bank anglers and zero boats from lower Lemon Island to the Willow Grove boat ramp. Anglers are catching a few winter steelhead from the beaches on the lower Columbia.

Portland Airport to Warrior Rock:
Weekly checking showed no catch for 15 bank anglers.
Warrior Rock to Prescott:
No report.
Prescott to Wallace Island:
Weekly checking showed no catch for 23 bank anglers.
Wallace Island to Bouy 10:
No report.
Sturgeon
Lower Columbia River (below Bonneville Dam)
Weekly checking showed no catch for one boat (two anglers).
Bonneville Dam to McNary Dam
Retention of sturgeon opened Monday, February 16th in Bonneville and The Dalles Pools. Fishing was excellent in the Bonneville Pool and fair to good in The Dalles Pool. Keep an eye on the regulation page for updates on any potential future retention opportunity in The Dalles Pool.
