Hunter Sight-In Days

How many hunters have missed elk or deer because their rifle was not sighted in properly? 

Or worse yet, how many animals suffered from a poor shot that didn't kill them swiftly?

Be sure to sight in your rifle before hunting this season so you can take a clean and ethical shot. Many of Oregon's shooting ranges offer this service in September and October (fee may apply).

• The cost is $10 per gun and is open to the public.

Douglas Ridge Rifle Club, Eagle Creek

Oct. 10, 11 (9:00 a.m. - 3:30 pm)

• They feature experienced Range Officers and volunteer coaches to help with spotting and bore-sighting. The cost is $5.00 per gun. Each shooter is responsible for bringing their own ammunition. DRRC provides the targets.

East End Rod & Gun Club, Milton-Freewater

Sept. *26 & 27 (9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. each day)

• Open to the public to utilize the rifle range only. Participant opportunity to become a member on *Sept. 26 -- also orientation day, which starts at 2:00 pm.
