Youth Upland Bird Hunts

Some hunts require advanced registration, and other hunts are set as first come, first served. The total number of participants and the hunt hours may also vary by location.

Requirements to participate

Each youth hunter must have in possession:

A Hunter Safety Education Card (temporary or permanent).
Hunters 12 years and older must have a valid hunting license with upland game bird validation in possession.
Permit for the hunt area (if required).
A blaze orange hat, shooting glasses (eye
protection) and vest must be worn by all
participants, including adults.
Use only federally approved non-toxic shot.
