Game Bird Hunting
Game bird hunting includes upland birds, waterfowl and turkey, and is some of the most accessible hunting in Oregon. Equipment requirements for upland game bird hunting are minimal – a shotgun and a good pair of boots will get you started – and there’s an upland season open somewhere in the state from Sept. 1 to Jan 31. Oregon also boasts diverse waterfowl species from sea ducks in coastal still waters, to puddle ducks in the alkali basins of southeast Oregon, to widespread migratory duck and goose populations.
