Adult Mentored Duck Hunting Workshop - Coquille/Myrtle Point
This 2-day ODFW workshop is intended for adults who want to start duck hunting.
Day 1 Duck Hunting 101: a classroom lecture on regulations, duck biology and habitat, how to find a place to hunt, calling and equipment. The second half of the day will be a waterfowl specific shotgun skills class. Location: MAP to gun range
Day 2 Practical Duck Hunt: this is a live mentored duck hunt where participants will put everything learned on day 1 into action from a duck blind. Mentors will lead hunting groups out in the field to setup blinds, place decoys, and cover safety consideration. During the hunt, the mentors will pass on their knowledge so that participants walk away from the workshop with the skills and knowledge to successfully enter the field and hunt on their own. Location: MAP to hunt area
