Learn to Fish
Steelhead 101 Workshop Schedule
Have you ever wanted to try steelhead fishing but weren't sure how?
ODFW partners with the Association of Northwest Steelheaders (ANWS) to provide all the knowledge you need to fish for steelhead. From how to start, where to go, how to read the water, and what gear to get and of course, how to use it! We will focus on the use of conventional (spinning) fishing methods and gear fundamentals, but if you have questions about other fishing methods, we're happy to help.
These are 2-day events!
Day 1 covers the ins and outs of steelhead fishing in a classroom setting.
Day 2 is all about hands-on learning and fishing on the water.
A detailed email with the daily plan and further instructions will be sent to all registrants the week before the event date.
Your workshop fee includes: instruction, use of ODFW equipment and program materials, and a one-year membership to ANWS. When you learn with us, you'll never fish alone—unless you want to!
For more information or questions, please contact James Adkins, ANWS Communications Liaison: james@anws.org
