Big Game Hunting

South Central Area

From the eastern flanks of Crater Lake National Park through the national forests of Douglas fir and ponderosa pine forests to the California border, there's plenty of public land to find your hunt.

The South Central Area begins the transition from dense Douglas fir forests to more open ponderosa pine forests. National forests and Access and Habitat projects open access for plenty of opportunity. There are lots of agricultural lands throughout the area, but numerous Access and Habitat projects open industrial timberland to big game hunting.
