46% public lands. Starting in Mitchell head east on Hwy 26 until you reach Hwy 19. Travel north on Hwy 19 to the North Fork John Day Rvr, follow the North Fork John Day Rvr north and east to the confluence of Camas Cr, follow Camas Cr north to Hwy 395. Head north on Hwy 395 to the intersection with FR 53. Follow FR 53 until you reach the Umatilla National Forest boundary, then continue north and west along the northern boundary of the Umatilla National Forest to Kinzua Rd. Travel west on Kinzua Rd to Hwy 19. Head south on Hwy 19 to the intersection with Hwy 207, south on Hwy 207 back to Mitchell.
