2024-25 Eastside Habitat Conditions Update

Updated November 20, 2024. Due to breakdowns in the wildlife area's pumping infrastructure flood up of many eastside units was delayed this season, however, all units have adequate water to support hunter quotas.

2024-25 Season's Eastside Reservation Summary

Reservation permits are obtained through the controlled hunt draw process. Unfilled reservations are available to hunters without reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis the day of at the check station. Information on the number of reservations available for each hunt period and the number of first choice applicants is available for hunters looking to better understand the reservation system.

Game bird harvest

After each hunt day, two types of harvest reports are posted, a Season Summary and a Daily Harvest report. The Season Summary report shows an overview of duck harvest by unit and blind for the season to-date. The daily harvest reports show the number of hunters, duck and goose harvest, and ducks per hunter for that specific day. Both these reports include hunt data for the Eastside, Westside, and Oak Island hunt areas.
