Want to learn how to turkey hunt but don't know where to start?

Have you hunted other species in Oregon and want to expand your opportunities to hunt into the Spring?

This clinic is designed for adults new to turkey hunting. ODFW Staff is teaming up with seasoned Oregon turkey hunters to offer an all-day turkey hunting clinic for adults. In this clinic you'll learn everything you need to know to bag a tom this spring.

Turkey hunting is an exciting challenge, an American tradition and a great source of delicious wild protein. Join us and find out why so many hunters get hooked.

Topics include:

• Choosing the right gear
• Setting decoys and blinds
• Spring vs. fall hunting tactics
• Choosing the right ammo and gun
• How to safely handle and pattern shotguns
• Field dresssing and cooking wild turkey
• Turkey behavior, biology, and conservation
• Turkey calling techniques

ODFW will supply shotguns and ammunition. Participants can bring and use their own shotgun if event staff determines the gun is safe and legal. If you bring a shotgun, you must supply your own ammunition. The ammunition must be non-toxic. We will be shooting approx 20 rounds.

Bring your own lunch, snacks, and water.

Login with your information if you already have an account.

If you have never logged in, use Verify/Look Up to find your account if you’ve had a hunting or fishing license or signed up for any of our programs in the past. If you are a new ODFW customer, use Create an Account.

After you have logged in, click “Purchase from the Catalog”.

Scroll down to Class/Workshop. Click “View All”.

Scroll down until you see the workshop title.

Click “Add”.

If you are done with your purchase, click “Proceed to Checkout” to complete your purchase.
