Best bets for weekend fishing With temperatures moderating, Lake Marie is a good spot to target yellow perch. Some early returning winter steelhead have arrived in the lower sections of the South Umpqua and Smith rivers. Anglers are starting to target early winter steelhead on the mainstem Umpqua.
